Rumours spread like wild fire on various Telugu Channels and websites yesterday with the news of leading character artist Prakash Raj wedding PRP women leader Shobha Rani.

Photographs of the couple in wedding attire were available on the internet. According to a leading website, the pair had got married in Chennai. The rumour was believable as Prakash Raj had only recently divorced his wife Lalitha Kumari, who happens to be the younger sister of yesteryears item girl Disco Shanti (also the wife of Hero Srihari). However, the photographs were proved to be morphed by some trouble-mongers.

What was mind boggling initially among various readers and viewers was the taste of Prakash Raj, one of the most successful actors of Tollywood falling for Shobha Rani. The lady had initially said ‘no comments’ but later dismissed the story as a rumour floated by her ‘political foes’. Now people didn’t realize that Shobha Rani has become such a big Political leader that there are constant forces working against her. All this while there has been no sound made from Prakash Raj on this story.

Shobha Rani was a member of the Censor Board in Andhra Pradesh and has been in the news for all her loud talk ever since joining Chiranjeevi’s newly founded PRP. Memories are still fresh in the minds of the Telugu viewers about the infamous duels between Shobha Rani and Roja (film actress and TDP leader) prior to the elections. Both Shobha Rani and Roja had incidentally lost their elections contest from the constituencies of Alair and Chandragiri respectively. Shobha Rani had polled 16,659 votes in the Alair Constituency of Nalgonda district in the 13th State Assembly Elections.
